Estados Unidos "Rockefeller Plaza", la serie más nominada a los Emmy

La comedia de laSexta, con "Mad Men" y la miniserie "John Adams"

Dos nuevas series de cable, “Mad Men” y “Damages”, se han hecho con sendas nominaciones a los Emmy en la categoría de "Mejor Drama", según la lista de candidaturas para la 60 edición que acaba de anunciarse en Los Ángeles.

Es la primera vez en la historia de los "Oscar de la televisión" que compiten dos ficciones que se emiten exclusivamente en una cadena de cable, al margen de HBO.

“Mad Men”, la serie de la AMC ambientada en el mundo de la publicidad de los años 60, y “Damages”, la ficción judicial de FX protagonizada por Glenn Close, se pueden ver en España a través de Canal Plus.

Ambas competirán en la categoría de “Mejor Drama” contra “Dexter”, la serie de Showtime sobre un asesino que emiten Cuatro y Fox en nuestro país, y las veteranas “House” (Fox/Cuatro) y “Perdidos” (ABC/TVE).

Sin embargo, la serie que acapara más nominaciones es “30 Rock”, la ficción ambientada en el mundo de la televisión que protagoniza Alec Baldwin y que estrenó La Sexta este martes bajo el título “Rockefeller Plaza”. En total, esta producción de la NBC se ha hecho con 17 candidaturas, entre ellas la de “Mejor Comedia”.  “Mad Men” le sigue de cerca con un total de 16 nominaciones.

“30 Rock” competirá en el apartado de comedia con otra producción de la NBC (“The Office”, que también emite laSexta),  “Dos hombres y medio” (CBS/TVE), “Larry David” y “Entourage”, estas últimas de la HBO y también ofrecidas en España por la cadena de Globomedia y Mediapro.

"John Adams" (HBO), la más nominada por una única emisión

Si “30 Rock” ha sido la serie de emisión regular más nominada en esta edición, la miniserie de la HBO “John Adams”, sobre el segundo presidente americano, es la producción que ha obtenido más candidaturas para un programa de una única emisión, con un total de 23.

La 60 edición de los Emmy se celebrará el 21 de septiembre en una ceremonia retransmitida en directo por la ABC desde el Teatro Nokia de Los Ángeles.

Cuatro es la cadena de televisión española cuyas series acumulan mayor número de candidaturas, con un total de 47.
