“Mujeres desesperadas” y “Will & Grace”, favoritas a los Emmy

“Mujeres desesperadas”, la aclamada serie de TVE sobre un grupo de amas de casa en plena crisis de los 40, parte como favorita en la 57 edición los Emmy (los Óscars de la televisión), junto a otra comedia, la veterana sitcom “Will & Grace”, con 15 nominaciones cada una. La ceremonia de entrega se celebra este domingo 18 de septiembre, en Los Angeles. En España la gala sólo podrá seguirse en directo y versión original a través del canal digital AXN, a partir de las 02.00 horas en la madrugada del domingo 18 al lunes 19 de septiembre. Además AXN ofrecerá un programa especial resumen de la gala doblado, también en exclusiva, el viernes 30 de septiembre, a las 23.15 hrs.

Según la lista de candidaturas en 88 categorías anunciada por la Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias de la televisión norteamericana, tres de las protagonistas de “Desperate Housewives” (todas menos la latina Eva Longoria) están nominadas a mejor actriz de comedia: Marcia Cross (Bree), Teri Hatcher (Susan) y Felicity Huffman (Lynette). Con 13 nominaciones, la veterana serie “Everybody Loves Raymond”, sobre un periodista deportivo y su caótica familia, también parte como favorita. Las tres series compiten por un Emmy a la mejor comedia junto a “Arrested Development” y “Scrubs”. En el apartado de mejor serie dramática compiten “Lost” (“Perdidos”), la serie sobre los supervivientes de un accidente aéreo en una isla misteriosa que en España emite La Primera, que recibió 12 nominaciones. En la misma categoría son candidatas “Deadwood”, “Six Feet Under” (La 2), “24” (Antena 3) y “The West Wing” (La 2). Por su parte, las series que en España emite Telecinco “CSI: Las Vegas” y “CSI: Miami” han conseguido 4 y una nominación respectivamente, relacionadas con sonido y maquillaje, además de la de Mejor Dirección para Quentin Tarantino por el épisodio que cierra la quinta temporada de Las Vegas. La estrella de Hollywood Glenn Close, que desde el año pasado forma parte del reparto de la serie dramática “The Shield” (Forta) fue nominada como mejor actriz en esta categoría y compite, entre otras, con Frances Conroy (“Six Feet Under”) y Jennifer Garner (“Alias”). James Spader, quien ya ganó un Emmy el año pasado, opta al Emmy al mejor actor dramático por “Boston Legal”. Entre sus rivales se encuentra Kiefer Sutherland por “24”. En la categoría mejor reality show fueron nominados, entre otros, “The Apprentice” de Donald Trump y “Project Runway”, presentado por la modelo Heidi Klum. Algunas series que siempre acaparan las nominaciones, como “Los Soprano” o “Curb Your Enthusiasm”, no participan en esta edición de los Emmy al no tener nuevos episodios grabados en la temporada 2004/05. Otras asiduas de los Emmy, como “Frasier” y “Sexo en Nueva York”, tampoco aparecen porque ya se han retirado. Los premios se entregarán el 18 de septiembre en una gala celebrada en el Shrine Auditorium de Los Angeles. Y LOS NOMINADOS SON....
